A turning point for Bangla cricket: Mortaza
ADELAIDE: It was a win Bangladesh fans will remember for a long time. And it was only fitting that Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza was overcome with emotions after beating England on Monday.
"Definitely, it's a memorable win for us. Back home, people thought we could go through (to the knockouts). But we know how difficult it is in Australia, because normally we never get to play much on these kinds of pitches, like in Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide.

So it was very difficult. But the boys have been confident and have been working hard."
He said that Monday would prove to be a turning point in Bangladesh cricket. "It is a fa mous, hard-fought win. I would say it's a great turn (of events) for us. If I go back, I think our problem was inconsistency, but in this World Cup, two out of five matches we have been very consistent, and hopefully it will keep going for the next few matches. Obviously, the boys are really happy and hope that Bangladesh cricket will move (ahead) from here."
Praising his pace attack, he said that he was unhappy that people were not taking his pace bowlers seriously. "I'm sorry to say people were talking rubbish about our pace bowling, and we know what we are. We know how capable we are. I hope people start giving some respect to our quicks. They have shown to the world how good they are."
